Physician, Heal Thyself.

In Luke 4:23 (King James version), it says:

" And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country. "

The general interpretation of this is that Jesus expected to hear this phrase said to him in Nazareth, and that the people there would expect the same "miracles" and healing there as he did in other places.

I am not a Christian, nor do I follow any other specific belief systems. I chose this phrase "Physician, Heal thyself" because it displays something that is utterly true. We have the ability to heal ourselves, we have the capability to be our own physicians. As the Hopi would say "We are the ones we have been waiting for".

I am by no means saying drop your doctor and never take another pill again. I am however, suggesting a truth that I find utterly important and necessary, and suggesting this truth, I hope, is a call to awakening for some. A hope that more and more will begin to realize they have the power to heal themselves and others, a hope that more will realize they can be self-sufficient, a hope that many more will begin to be living-realizations of the infinite potential of the universe.
